Nicholas Andres Ortiz is a Paralegal at Turner, Henningsen, Wolf & VanDenburg. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Coming from a family of immigrants, Nicholas has been close to the legal field, particularly immigration law, for as long as he can remember. That upbringing shaped his goal of attending law school and building the kind of experience that will let him help people like his own family and others navigating an often overwhelming legal system. He finds the most rewarding part of his work to be solving new problems as they arise, and he especially enjoys collaborating with Bryan Roth on commercial litigation matters, where he feels a strong connection to the cases and can see the direct impact of the decisions made along the way.
Before joining the firm, Nicholas worked as a Legal Assistant and Operations Manager at a boutique labor and employment law firm in Pasadena for a year and a half, and prior to that spent a year as an intake specialist at another labor and employment firm, marking his first role in the legal field.
Nicholas plans to attend law school and become an attorney, with a long-term goal of starting or supporting an organization that helps low-income Latino families, inspired by Adelante Youth Alliance, an organization that once helped him. Outside of work, he enjoys powerlifting and drawing.
