Dortha Larene Pyles was admitted to practice in California in 1976. She has over 40 years of experience as a trial attorney in general civil litigation, having handled many court and jury trials, and trials before private tribunals, in the areas of business and commercial and residential real estate including contract and business disputes, title, property rights, construction, landlord-tenant matters, intellectual property and communications, unfair competition and labor and employment law. She is licensed to practice before both State and Federal Courts in California, has handled matters before the bankruptcy courts and probate courts, and arbitrates and mediates matters before the American Arbitration Association, JAMS, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Alternative Resolution Centers (ARC), Judicate West, and other facilities. She has represented individuals as well as large and small public and private corporate entities, partnerships and business ventures. Ms. Pyles received her Juris Doctor degree from Whittier Law School, and has been a member of the Beverly Hills Bar and the Los Angeles County Bar Associations over the years. Ms. Pyles will tell you that she has loved the law since the inception of her practice and loves what she does. In practice, she cares about the client and does everything possible to assist clients in reaching their ultimate goals. She prefers to evaluate new matters and the issues involved first with an eye toward positive and productive resolution on behalf of the client if at all possible but if necessary, or the client prefers, she will pursue the matter formally, without hesitation, and will vigorously and zealously prosecute or defend the action through trial and its conclusion on behalf of the client.
